Events for 2026
Sunday 22nd March - "Kings of the North" lawn bowls challenge for the Northern RSL Sub Branches.
RSL Freeling Sub Branch and RSL Gawler Sub Branch would like this activity to be expanded to our northern sub branches in and around our areas to network more with our fellow sub branch veterans, and members.
This "Kings of the North Lawn Bowls Challenge", will also have a perpetual trophy to be handed to the RSL Sub Branch winning team, and having this as an annual event at Freeling.
Cost is $10 per 4 person team, and funds will go to the Freeling Bowls Clubs as a community support activity.
There is only 14 team slots, so your RSL should be able to garner support of 1 or 2 teams, and it will be a good day out, even if your RSL members just want to simply head out for a drive on the day, and come down for a beer, and chat, all are welcome.

Musical Bingo is back for 2026
Friday 20th March, arrive by 6:30pm., and heads down, dabbers from 7pm.
$10 pp to attend.
Your host Davy G will bring the hits, and the bar will be open, and of course, there will be raffle prizes to!.
BYO nibbles / platters. Please note, if you are wanting to BYO drinks, ONLY wine is allowed, and a corkage fee applies.

Saturday 11th April - John Schumann & The Vagabond Crew, at the Gawler Civic Centre.
Doors will open at 7pm, and the concert will start at 8pm.
This is a licensed venue, so NO BYO alcohol, Red/White wine is allowed with a $10 corkage fee per bottle, for fund raising.
The RSL Gawler Sub Branch will be running the bar on the night for refreshments, and also raffles for fund raising.
Tickets are $85 + booking fee.

Wednesday 15th April - Veterans' Race Day - Balaklava Cup
Wanting to attend?, why not catch the bus from RSL Gawler Sub Branch.
The bus leaves the club at 10am. Morning tea at Mallala RSL. Entry to the race day. Raffle tickets, be in the draw to win $1500. Gourmet BBQ lunch. Discounted drinks at the races. Return travel.
Dress code: suits, collared shirts, appropriate race day attire, miniature medals.
Tickets: $45 for members, $55 for non members.
